This is a photo of Queen Elizabeth II by Annie Lebovitz. I like this formal portrait because it is a very unexpected portrait of a queen; a person of royalty is usually photographed with their crown and things that represent their status. This, however, could be anyone yet you still get a sense of power coming from her. She is standing tall and looks very put together and important. I also really like the gloomy essence coming from the pictureL the stormy sky, the barren trees, and her black cape.
This is (one of) my favourite informal portraits (photographed by Tiffany Le). I love how it was shot in the mirror, yet you cannot see the camera. I also love the lighting, and how he is looking out the window with a somewhat longing expression his face. You can sort of get a feel of who he is and what his role in society is.
This is my second favourite informal portrait, and i don't remember who the photographer is. I love the soft, natural backlighting coming from behind her and how it illuminates and casts a warm glow over her face and shoulders.
This is my third favourite informal portrait (photographed by Whitney Justesen). I love this picture because of the purplish undertones, and how it's slightly eerie. I like the contrast between her skin and dark clothing and background.
This is a portrait that i would like to try and recreate, possibly with snow, possibly with glitter, flour, or anything else t
